The Kasprowy Wierch cable car is Poland's only high-mountain cable car. The route to the top of Kasprowy Wierch is 4291.59 metres long, but thanks to us, it only takes a dozen or so minutes - the carriages can carry up to 60 people at a time in winter, 32 in summer! The journey over the Tatra valleys abounds in magnificent views and provides an unforgettable experience.
The upper station of the cableway is located at an altitude of 1959 metres (just 26 metres below the top of Kasprowy Wierch) and, together with the Meteorological Observatory, is a pair of the highest buildings in Poland.
At the top of Kasprowy, we can enjoy breathtaking mountain views - Kasprowy Wierch is located almost centrally in the middle of the Tatra range. Leaving the summit, we can also start a hiking trip - from the summit, the yellow trail brings tourists to Hala Gąsienicowa, the granite red trail leads eastwards through the Beskid, Skrajna and Pośrednia Turnia to Świnica, and westwards to Czerwone Wierchy.
In winter, Kasprowy Wierch provides opportunities for some of the most beautiful sports - skiing and snowboarding. In addition to the cable car, skiers can use two chairlifts in the Goryczkowe and Gąsienicowe kotle. Superbly prepared ski runs and the proximity of the mountains attract crowds of skiing enthusiasts. For skiers, PKL in the Kasprowy Wierch area prepares a total of 14 km of ski runs on natural snow. The pistes in the Kasprowy Wierch area have FIS homologations for competition.
